Job Description

Tukuna mai ōu pūkenga (we want these skills):

We’re after an administrative superstar to join our Business Events team at ChristchurchNZ. Reporting to the Business Events Manager this role is ideal for someone who is either fresh out of their studies or looking to pivot into the business events industry. You will be working closely with the Business Events team, providing essential administrative support to help deliver Christchurch’s business events strategy.   

 

The role will involve: 

  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of sponsorship and funding contracts. 
  • Preparation of event bids. 
  • Responding to client enquiries. 
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records. 
  • Supporting the coordination of meetings, small events, and familiarisation visits.  

 

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Initiative and a keen eye for improving processes and supporting the team.  
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other administrative tools. 
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work. 
  • Professionalism and warmth when interacting with clients and partners.  
  • To really care about the future of Christchurch and our ambition for this place.
