  • Strategic governance, planning and delivery: Lead the development and delivery of cleantech sector strategy, support fit-for-purpose governance structures, and execute initiatives on budget and to a high standard.
  • Activation and innovation facilitation: Advocate for the sector, represent ChristchurchNZ at events and activations, and connect partners to build capability, collaboration and momentum.
  • Sustainability and economic impact: Manage budget spend and impact measurement, and support delivery of the Christchurch Economic Ambition and the transition to a regenerative economy.

We’re looking for some who has:

  • Strong networks and experience working in business and innovation at a regional level (preferably with existing knowledge of the Christchurch or wider Canterbury economic development landscape.)
  • A minimum of five years' experience as a project manager or equivalent experience in consulting, economic development, business development or strategy development.
  • Knowledge of the cleantech sector is an advantage.
  • Outstanding influencing and relationship management skills and experience working in complex environments at senior levels to leverage networks to deliver economic outcomes.
  • Strong presentation skills and the confidence to speak to a wide range of audiences.
  • A proactive and solution orientated approach.
  • A proven understanding of the principles of economic development and the role of economic development agencies.
